Mr. Health Search was founded by Cliff Kalibjian as a result of his severe case of Crohn's Disease (an inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract) that developed when he was 13 years old. "I started training for this job when I was in 8th grade," jokes Cliff with a bit of seriousness. "Even in the beginning of my illness, I was always searching for answers. I know that I would have benefited greatly from a service such as Mr. Health Search's when I was first diagnosed. I truly know firsthand how overwhelming it can be when you are sick and in desperate need of information. That's why I started my company." Ultimately, it was a combination of the best from both conventional and alternative medicine that is responsible for Cliff's good health today. "My goal now," states Cliff, "is to help other individuals find the information they need on their illnesses. This way, they will have the vital medical information that they need to make important decisions regarding their health, just as I did." Cliff has a B.A. in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, and has trained extensively in an information professional mentoring program with Amelia Kassel, a very well known and respected veteran in the field. Under his mentor's guidance, Cliff received specialized online database training for researching health and medical topics. Cliff is also a member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP), which is the major professional organization for information specialists.
